Multidisciplinary artist Víctor Atobas presents, for the first time, his most recent pictorial production, which he conceives not as a representation of reality, but as an act of inscribing the zoon bios. In this series, painting functions as an organic script that seeks to record the pulse of life in its ceaseless flow. The central axis of this work is the purpose of undoing the face: dismantling human morphology and identity to allow the canvas to be inhabited by animal becomings. Through a brushstroke that acts as a stroke of writing, the paintings explore the vitality of birds and fish, capturing their powers and movements. In these works, the subject is transmuted: there is no longer an observing "I," but a "writing of the living" that shifts toward the animal, relinquishing human centrality to inscribe the pure force of the living. The exhibition comprises 13 works, each 80 x 70 cm. The opening – Thursday, September 10th at 7:30 pm – will be a collective event featuring sets by DJs Minichino and Psymurai. Biography of Víctor Atobas (Burgos, 1990): Spanish transdisciplinary artist and activist. He is a disciple of Jaime Pastor. He holds a degree in Political Science (UNED), a Master's degree in Advanced Studies in Philosophy (UCM), and a PhD in Philosophy from the UCM with a dissertation entitled "The Utopian Impulse in the Thought of Fredric Jameson" (2022), supervised by his mentor. He currently develops projects in different artistic fields, always related to utopia, combining critique with a positive perspective. His compositions frequently feature the figures of the júnjuma and the trágala, which he created through a process of abstraction but which have acquired concreteness and meaning over time. Although he began his journey in painting through abstract codes, he soon began to explore figuration in his canvases and drawings.
