Una ruta para disfrutar de los espacios naturales que propone la provincia de Palencia y observar al ciervo macho en su propio entorno. El recorrido comienza con la Ruta de los Pantanos desde Cervera de Pisuerga hasta Velilla, admirando los parajes que sorprenden a un viajero ansioso por examinar cada detalle del paisaje.
En el Valle Estrecho se puede escuchar la berrea y contemplar, con prismático o telescopio, a los ciervos paseando por su hogar. Esta ruta incluye también la visita a otros enclaves como Aguilar de Campoo, donde entrar, por ejemplo, en su Centro de Interpretación del Románico.
Además, en esta ruta se pueden visitar: los miradores del alto de La Varga y de Alba de los Cardaños, la Casa del Parque de Fuentes Carrionas y Fuente Cobre-Montaña Palentina en Cervera de Pisuerga, el Puente de Salinas de Pisuerga y el Monasterio de Santa María la Real en Aguilar de Campoo.
