Dans la profonde et étroite vallée du río Huebra, l'image d'un Sacré Cœur à l'horizon annonce la proximité de Hinojosa de Duero. Près du Christ se dresse un joli ermitage roman. Hinojosa est un des derniers villages de Salamanca qui fait frontière avec le Portugal. Il conserve son ancien tracé de ruelles pavées. Les bâtisses ornées d'armoiries et aux allures nobles surprennent le touriste lors de sa promenade, comme la Casa de la Ciriaca.
