The Museum of Collections of the University of León is a university museum that wants to make available to all of society the rich scientific and cultural heritage that the University of León, as a result of its teaching and research activity, has been generating and treasuring since its foundation. in 1979 to the present day.

The museum distributes its exhibitions between the rooms of two buildings, which were the old School of Mines and the School of Commerce, with the intention of taking advantage of underused or disused spaces located in the center of the capital of Leon, easily accessible to visitors.

Both the current collections and the historical heritage that the museum houses are very varied and have been generated for more than 150 years to serve as support for teaching and research in a multitude of disciplines taught at this institution.
