The Ministry of Culture and Tourism is committed to gastronomic tourism by supporting the organization of the 'Bocuse D'Or', the most demanding national championship of chefs that, for the first time, leaves Madrid and will be organized in Castile and León, attracted by the regional gastronomic wealth, with the collaboration of the Junta de Castile and León. For the first time in its history, the 'Bocuse D'Or' will bring together chefs from 16 autonomous communities to search for the national representative in the European Competition in Budapest.
The National Championship 'Bocuse D'Or Spain 2015' will be held at the Miguel Delibes Cultural Center in Valladolid, on November 27 and 28, with the support of the Junta de Castile and León as sponsor of the event.
It is the first time that this prestigious chefs' championship is held outside of Madrid, moving to Castile and León, attracted by the gastronomic wealth of the Community, as well as by the advantages of the hotel and hospitality structure that Castile and León also has. of an outstanding fair structure for hosting large events of these characteristics. National Championship 'Bocuse D'Or Spain 2015'
Castile and León will thus become the official headquarters of the national chef championship 'Bocuse D'Or Spain 2015', with the aim of selecting the best national chef who will attend the European Championship in Budapest, which will take place on May 10 and 11 2016. This is the most prestigious and difficult culinary championship in the world and, for the first time, it will bring together representatives from 16 autonomous communities who will have to face, for five hours and 35 minutes, two creations (meat and fish ) with regional products, such as white trout from Tierra de Alba (Salamanca) and Lechazo from the PGI of Castile and León. Representing Castile and León, the Mirandés chef Alberto Molinero García, winner of the Castile and León Chefs Championship 2014, will attend.
The participating chefs will have to face a recognized group of Jury-Presidents, most of them chefs of recognized national prestige up to a total of 11 Michelin stars and five Repsol soles, in addition to representatives of regional gastronomy academies or chefs presenters of shows. television. On the other hand, there will also be a Technical-Culinary Jury and an International Jury, made up of representatives of cuisine from different fields.
The 'Bocuse D'Or Spain 2015' will have a series of parallel activities around it, such as the presence of commercial stands of the participating-collaborating companies or a Familiarization Trip, which has been organized for contestants, juries and the specialized press. , with the aim of letting them know 'in situ' the Community's food and wine offering.
