The Quintanar Palace
The Quintanar Palace is a space dependent on the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Junta de Castilla y León. Inaugurated in March 2011, it was born with the aim of endowing the city of Segovia and Castilla y León with a meeting place dedicated to the production, research and dissemination of the design culture; where artists, entrepreneurs and the public come together to share experiences and ideas through design and culture.
The structure of the Quintanar Palace is that of a seventeenth-century Segovian manor house, built around a central patio and remodeled in the 18th century. The singularity of the building allows to shelter in its rooms and gardens to multiple activities of artistic, social, environmental and business character, covering all possible areas of design, art and culture.
The extensive program of the venue includes exhibitions, installations, projections, meetings with professionals, round tables, conferences, congresses, book presentations, guided tours and workshops for all types of public (children, adults, families). At the same time, activities have been promoted for practical training in the field of design: seminars, workshops, courses or laboratories.
The whole society, as beneficiary of each and every one of the activities carried out, finds in the Quintanar Palace the indispensable environment to discover, share and diffuse the talent and work of designers, artists, entrepreneurs and companies that need citizenship to achieve their sociocultural goals
