Dra. Anabela MartinsDra. Anabela Martins She holds a degree in Biology, a Master's degree, and a PhD in Plant Biotechnology from the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon. She is a Coordinating Professor in the Department of Biology and Biotechnology at the Escuela Superior Agraria (School of Agriculture) of the Instituto Politécnico de Bragança (ESA/IPB). She is a Researcher at the Centro de Investigação de Montanha (CIMO). She is Vice President of Image, Protocol, and Student Support at the Instituto Politécnico de Bragança. She is an elected member of the Technical-Scientific Council of ESA/IPB, where she has developed her professional and scientific career since 1986.

She has worked on numerous research projects, both as principal investigator (STRIDE and AGRO Programs), as part of a team (COST87, AIR, COST G4, PRAXIS, PRAXIS Consórcio, EUREKA, POCTI and POCI Programs), and as a member of the Transnational Scientific Committee (INTERREG SUDOE), some of them related to technology transfer to industry. She has published more than 80 scientific articles indexed in ISI web of knowledge/Scopus and 8 chapters in scientific and technical books. She has supervised and co-supervised more than 100 final year theses at undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. She has participated in 10 doctoral committees in Portugal, Spain and Tunisia, in 24 master's committees and 120 at undergraduate and doctoral levels.
