Dr. Josep Piqueras
Josep Piqueras Carrasco is a physician, recipient of the Extraordinary Doctorate Award, and a former professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He served as a Senior Fellow at the Vall d'Hebron General University Hospital in Barcelona and was vice president of the Catalan Society of Hematology and Hemotherapy.
He has also worked in the fields of mycology and toxicology. He is a founding member of the Catalan Mycology Society and a full member of the International Society for Human and Animal Mycology. He was named an Honorary Member by the Valencian Mycology Society and the Font i Quer Mycological Association, and served on the Mushroom Expert Group of the Catalan Food Safety Agency.
He currently collaborates with the Barcelona Acute Toxicology Group, the Practice Area of the Barcelona Medical Association, and the Toxicology Group of the Catalan Society of Emergency Medicine.
