Dr. Pablo de Frutos Madrazo
Pablo de Frutos Madrazo holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Valladolid. He has been a full professor at the Faculty of Business and Labour Sciences of Soria since 1991 and an adjunct professor at the National University of Distance Education since 1995. He is a specialist in the study of the socioeconomic impact of natural resources on rural societies and the valuation of environmental heritage, which is the focus of most of his high-impact publications. In 2008, he was awarded the Research Award from the Economic and Social Council of Castilla y León. He has been an evaluator for the European Union's regional development programme LEADER+ (2000–2006) and (2007–2013) for axes 2 (improvement of the environment and rural environment) and 4 (LEADER approach). He is a regular contributor to research institutions such as the Spanish National Research Council (Spanish National Research Council), the Centre for Forestry Studies and Services of Castilla y León and the European Institute of Mycology. He has also had a broad and varied career in university management, including as dean, deputy director, undergraduate and master's coordinator, and more.
