Eight years later, I made the leap into the business world, co-founding the company Gestión Forestal y del Medio Agrícola Sl (GESFORMA), and being responsible for the company's investments.
These investments have focused primarily on truffle farming, to the point that GESFORMA is currently the leading truffle management company in Castilla y León. Another of the company's main investments is in a multitude of rural assets, for the development of a multitude of projects in the rural world: reforestation, research into alternative crops, and the development of conservation programs for certain habitats and species.
My passion for the rural world is such that I've been combining this role with serving as deputy mayor of my town, Boada de Campos, since 2011. A good complement, allowing me to learn a multitude of procedures and manage small-scale public projects. As if that weren't enough, I'm the manager of my own farm, primarily dedicated to growing lavandin.
All of this has allowed me to grow professionally and spend more than 10 years managing staff and teams in both private and public companies.

The son of a rancher and the grandson of a farmer, the rural world and agroforestry have always been my passion. From a very young age, I knew for sure: "When I grew up, I wanted to work in the countryside." In 1998, I began my studies in Forestry Engineering, later moving on to a degree in Advanced Forestry Engineering. From there, I began working in the world of forest fires, until I joined the public administration, managing grants from the Castilla y León Rural Development Program in the field of truffle farming and reforestation.
