THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE, TOURISM AND SPORT ANNOUNCES TRAINING COURSES IN DIGITAL TOURISM SKILLS IN CASTILLA Y LEÓN.
These courses originate from the Digital Skills in Tourism Plan, within the framework of Component 19, Investment 3 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of Spain.
The objective is to provide training courses in digital tourism skills in Castilla y León, organized by itineraries, with the aim of strengthening these skills, and with digitalization being one of the strategic elements for the modernization of the tourism sector and the improvement of its competitiveness.
The recipients of the courses will be people linked to the tourism sector of Castilla y León: entrepreneurs, business owners or employees of companies in the Tourism Sector, including the self-employed, fixed-term workers, public employees, as well as unemployed people who have worked in the tourism sector, young people between 18 and 35 years old and students of some branch related to the tourism sector , with concerns to update and recycle their knowledge, who will be able to access those courses corresponding to the area in which they work, have worked or have expressed their interest.
The main characteristics of the actions to be carried out will be the following:
The training activities will be carried out online .
The DigComp 2.2 competency framework will be taken as a starting point.
The training courses will have a minimum duration of 150 hours.
The goal is to train a minimum of 677 different students .
The tutored online training should cover approximately the delivery of at least 85 training modules .
An estimated ratio of 80 students per itinerary is used for the approximate calculation of training activities, which could vary depending on demand, potentially resulting in a higher number of training activities planned in the end.
The itineraries that make up the courses are designed in relation to the tourism value chain and the different levels of difficulty; basic, intermediate and advanced, as follows:
BLOCK I: Basic tourist services (HORECA): Restaurants, accommodation, bars, cafes, etc. – 3 itineraries, one per level (basic, intermediate, and advanced). (With their core, complementary, and advanced modules)
BLOCK II: Specialized tourism services : Active tourism, Cultural tourism, Tour guides, MICE tourism. - 3 itineraries, one per level (basic, intermediate and advanced). (With their core, complementary and excellence modules)
BLOCK III: Auxiliary or complementary services : Transport and commerce. 3 itineraries, one per level (basic, intermediate and advanced) (With their core, complementary and excellence modules)
BLOCK IV: Tourist Destination Managers ; Tourist Offices and Tourist Product Managers. 3 itineraries, one per level (basic, intermediate and advanced) (With their core, complementary and excellence modules).
