This outstanding set of open-air rock art, located near the city of Salamanca, on the banks of the Tormes River, was discovered in 2007.

It is made up of several panels on slate blocks that protrude from the vegetation cover, with schematic style paintings, the oldest dating back to the Upper Paleolithic, located in what is known as Abrigo de El Marín.

We can observe geometric representations, digitizations, zoomorphic and anthropomorphic motifs.

In 2013, new discoveries were made, in this case two panels in which, using picket and incision techniques, grooves, varied lines and animal representations identifiable as equids and a possible goat had been made.

The archaeological remains are greatly affected by erosion and the effect of atmospheric exposure, but they are of great importance since they certify the existence of human groups populating this territory during the Upper Paleolithic.
