The Burra Train trail is a traditional trail that runs along the old railway route that connected the towns of Valladolid and Medina de Rioseco, extending to Villalón de Campos, with two branches that reached Palanquinos, in the province of Leon, and Palencia. capital. This old route began to provide service in 1884, being used for both passenger and freight transportation. It stopped being used in 1969.
The Burra train left the San Bartolomé station, in the La Victoria neighborhood, in Valladolid, continuing its journey towards Zaratán .
Currently, the section of ascent to the plain of the moor, known as the "Cuesta del Reventón", is well preserved. Many travelers remember how this climb, skirting the slope and gradually gaining height, became really expensive.
