It is located in the Santo Tomé church, one of the oldest in the city. In it, the Diocese of Zamora didactically disseminates the most important contents of the Catholic faith through the permanent and temporary exhibition of outstanding works of Christian art.

The permanent collection of the Diocesan Museum of Zamora is made up of one hundred and thirty-four pieces of sculpture, painting, metalwork, metalwork, furniture and stone objects. They are Hispano-Roman, Visigothic, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Neoclassical and Colonial works of art, made between the 1st and 19th centuries.

Prestigious artists such as the sculptors Gil de Ronza, Gregorio Fernández, Pedro de Mena or Sebastián Ducete are represented in the museum; the painters Diego de Quirós, Alonso del Arco and Diego Díez Ferreras; and silversmiths Antonio de Burgos, Andrés Gil and Manuel Flores, among others.

Observations: There is a €6 pass called "La Milla Románica" (The Romanesque Mile) that covers all the churches open to the public in Zamora . It is sold at the churches. The combined ticket for the cathedral includes access to the Diocesan Museum. Free admission: every Monday afternoon.
