Lih GuahLih Guah Lih is a Singapore-based chef and co-owner of Journe. His cuisine is driven by the product, with a focus on live-fire techniques and restraint. Lih has cooked professionally in Singapore and San Francisco. He also served as Chef de Cuisine to the U.S. Ambassador to Singapore. His professional experience led him to become Head Chef at Ittoryu Gozu in San Francisco and Sous Chef at O' by Claude Le Tohic. Over the years, he has worked closely with farmers, producers, and small suppliers in creating menus.

During his time in California, he focused on foraging for wild products, fishing, and sourcing produce from nearby farmers and farms. Lih sees cooking as a way to honor the place, the season, and the people behind each ingredient.
