Omar Allibhoy
Born in Madrid, Omar arrived in the UK in 2008 to take over El Pirata de Tapas in West London, quickly establishing it as one of the city's best tapas restaurants and garnering rave reviews. During this time, he appeared on Channel 4's Ramsay's Best Restaurant, where he began to cultivate his charismatic reputation as the "Antonio Banderas of the kitchen."
In 2010, he opened his first Tapas Revolution in Westfield Shepherd's Bush, launching the largest group of Spanish restaurants in the UK. Prior to this launch, he toured England by motorcycle, cooking tapas across the country—a journey that established him as a true ambassador of Spanish cuisine.
Omar has won numerous awards and maintains a successful career as a chef and food communicator, with appearances on Sunday Brunch, The One Show, This Morning, and MasterChef. He is the author of several best-selling books, including Tapas Revolution, Spanish Made Simple, and his most recent publication, Paella, further solidifying his position as an international authority on Spanish cuisine.
