Dr. Alexis Guerin-Laguette
Alexis Guerin-Laguette is a French scientist with a PhD in the mycological family Lactarius from the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA) and the University of Montpellier II, France. Since then, he has worked in Japan and Canada and has led research programs on the cultivation of edible mycorrhizal fungi at the New Zealand Plant and Food Research Institute for the past 17 years.
He is a frequent visiting scientist at the Kunming Institute of Botany/Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2015 and 2017, he was awarded the title of International Expert by the Yunnan Foreign Affairs Administration.
He has published more than 25 research articles and several chapters in mycology books. He is an expert in the cultivation and biology of edible mycorrhizal fungi, including mushrooms and truffles.
