The Monastic Life Interpretation Centre is the first museum space in Leon that is expressly dedicated to the history, spirituality, daily life and cultural legacy of a Benedictine monastic community, which is based in the Monastery of Santa María de Carbajal.

The center boasts 300 square meters of exhibition space divided into four themed rooms, designed to offer an educational journey through the foundations of the Benedictine tradition and the life experiences of the nuns. These rooms also include a presentation on the figure of Saint Benedict, with a recreation of the grotto where he lived as a hermit; an area dedicated to the spiritual axis of ora (prayer), with liturgical objects historically used by the community; and another focused on labora (work), where the tools of daily monastic life are displayed, along with a museum-quality reconstruction of a classroom from the former school that the Benedictine nuns ran between 1945 and 2001.
