Michael Ford displayed a passion for cooking at a very young age and began his culinary career cooking at local restaurants in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. While in college, he was hired at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort in Ponte Vedra. Over the years at Sawgrass, Chef Michael honed his skills working with world-renowned chefs at the group's numerous restaurants and larger operations, progressing his career to become head chef. In January 2014, Chef Michael introduced Streamsong Resort's culinary offerings through the Grand Opening to tremendous success. Over the years, Chef Michael has represented Streamsong Resort and Interstate Hotels through television and radio appearances and culinary competitions. Most recently, Chef Michael was selected from among 250 chefs to compete in a select group of 20 in a three-day competition held in Chicago. In April 2019, Chef Michael was invited to cook at the prestigious James Beard House. Today, Chef Michael leads the culinary team at Streamsong Resort to consistently elevate excellence at each of the group's restaurants and properties.
