Leonor EspinosaLeonor Espinosa She studied Fine Arts at the School of Fine Arts in Cartagena de Indias and Economics at the Technological University of Bolivar. She currently runs the kitchen at Leo and Micasa in Tucasa. She is the President of FUNLEO, a non-profit organization dedicated to generating social well-being in rural ethnic communities, which earned her the Basque Culinary World Prize in 2017. For the past two years, LEO has been included in the prestigious list of THE WORLD'S 50 BEST RESTAURANTS and for seven years in LATIN AMERICA'S 50 Best Restaurants. She has also won the award for Best Female Chef in Latin America and the Estrella Damm Chefs' Choice Award 2020. She has published several books, including "Leo, el sabor" (Leo, the flavor) and "Lo que cuenta el caldero" (What the cauldron tells), a book about her travels around the country and its gastronomy.
