Diego Duarte Tonet, originally from Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil, holds a degree in gastronomy. His passion for cooking led him to begin his career as a pastry chef's assistant in Brazil, later working at various restaurants in his home country before venturing to Portugal.
Diego's first professional experience in Portugal was in 2016, when he completed an internship at The Yeatman Hotel, an opportunity that marked the beginning of a special relationship with the establishment.
After returning to Brazil and completing his higher education at the Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina, he returned to The Yeatman in 2018, permanently joining the kitchen team.
Currently, as Sous Chef at The Yeatman Hotel, Diego plays a pivotal role in executing the culinary offerings that distinguish the hotel and its two-Michelin-starred restaurant. His experience and dedication contribute to elevating the quality and consistency of the cuisine, inspiring the team with his talent and technical rigor.
