Faustino Hernández Santiago
An agricultural engineer specializing in plant science, he holds a Master of Science in Agroforestry for Sustainable Development from the Autonomous University of Chapingo, and a PhD in Soil Science from the Montecillo Campus Graduate School. He is originally from the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, and is a certified speaker of the Mixtec language in phonology and literacy.
He is the author of several scientific articles, has participated in presentations at national and international conferences, and has served as advisor on several undergraduate and master's theses focused on the study of edible wild mushrooms. He has also served on the Organizing Committee of several national symposia and an international workshop (IWEEM9).
She is currently a professor in the Bachelor's Program in Sustainable Development at the Intercultural University of the State of Mexico - Tepetlixpa Campus. Her scientific research interests focus on the study of mycorrhizal fungi for agricultural and forestry production, ethnomycology, ethnobotany, agroforestry systems, and soil mesofauna.
