Linear route of 30.8 km in length and an estimated duration of 3 hours 30 minutes with a gradient of 570 meters. Forest track (77%) and road (23%). High difficulty. Recommended time: spring to autumn. In winter, even during spring, it is easy to find snow at the Cruz de Valsurbio pass.

Tips and recommendations

This stage crosses high areas, where the rigors of the climate can be very pronounced at any time of the year. Therefore, it is advisable to be prepared for unexpected weather changes (fog, rain, cold, strong sunshine).

It is recommended to refill the canteen at the town fountains.

The surroundings of the Sierra del Brezo and Valcobero are one of the best places in the Palencia Mountain to enjoy the deer rut, between mid-September and October.
