Construction of the XII century where stands out an abundant sculptural decoration, both on the archivolts of the portico and on the capitals of the inside columns. Probably the first Romanesque church erected in the province of Zamora.

On the northern doorway - presided over by the lamb, which symbolizes Christ the Savior - a very eroded liturgical calendar unfolds, it is a late example but very rich and clearly Hispanic due to the presence of scenes as everyday as threshing in August and the reason from thirst in July.

Inside, the anonymous and seventeenth-century image of Cristo del Amparo is venerated, whose procession by the Brotherhood of Penance takes place on Holy Wednesday night, popularly known as "the brown capes", this parade is, without doubt, the most genuine representation of Easter in Zamora.
