Ashfer Biju has directed and imprinted his personality on the Perrine restaurants and The Rotunda lounge at the Pierre Hotel in New York since 2016. Born in India, he grew up on the coast of Kerala. From a young age, he experienced cooking as a true celebration, always using fresh ingredients. From a family of chefs, his father ran several restaurants in India and his maternal grandfather in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. For this reason, he attributes his passion for cooking to his childhood. He began his culinary training at just 16 years old, starting to work in restaurants at a very young age. After graduating in India, Ashfer decided to travel the world to continue his training. From the Culinary Institute of America to Napa Valley, the Maldives, Jean-Gorges in London, and South Asia, always with the aim of working and learning. Later, he specialized in hotel restaurants, opening 16 prestigious restaurants in hotels around the world in just a few years. Currently, he successfully manages two restaurants in one of the most prestigious hotels in the United States. In his spare time, he continues to research international cuisine, undoubtedly the basis of his success.
