Blaž describes himself as a young Slovenian chef in love with his cuisine and his roots. Since completing his training, he has dedicated himself to forging a successful professional career based on the search for techniques that allow him to create his own style of cooking, linked to the traditional cuisine of his country but on par with the best restaurants in the world. He has made a point of traveling and working in some of the best restaurants in Germany, Finland, and Spain, where he was fortunate enough to learn and demonstrate his skills with the Roca brothers in the kitchens of El Celler. After this journey abroad, he was selected to participate in the television competition show "Restaurant" (Gostilna išče šefa), appearing on every program until reaching the final and finishing in second place. After this television hiatus, he decided to return to Finland to the restaurant Chef & Sommelier (now called Ora) and subsequently worked at the Michelin-starred restaurants Ask and Olo. A few months ago he decided to return to his home country to run the Plac unit Bistro restaurant in the capital of Slovenia.
