Anthony Burd

Born to Italian grandparents, Anthony Burd was raised in the USA. At the age of 11, he began working in restaurants, first as a dishwasher and rising to chef at 18. Anthony graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and moved to California, where he worked in several Michelin-starred restaurants. Anthony's passion for fine dining led him to Italy to work at Pignano in Volterra, Tuscany. He later joined the 2-Michelin-starred Marea to open their Italian restaurant in Hong Kong. He subsequently decided to experiment as Executive Chef, managing seven restaurants in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Arriving in Bangkok in early 2020, he took the reins of the acclaimed La Scala restaurant, receiving numerous awards. In 2021, Chef Anthony opened his own restaurant, Tony's, located in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand.
