He was part of the founding team of the newspaper Público, and has dedicated himself in recent decades to the areas of gastronomy and wine, regularly writing articles, columns, and reviews, especially in the Fugas supplement. He also publishes a monthly newsletter in the Terroir supplement, on topics related to gastronomy and wine.
As a critic and specialist, he has participated in numerous specialized forums, meetings, and conferences. He has also served as a judge at various gastronomy and wine competitions, both in Portugal and abroad.
In this same capacity, he was invited to join the teaching staff of the Short Master's in Gastronomy at the University of Portucalense.
