Dr. Filipa Sofía Dinis Reis
She holds a degree in Biotechnology Engineering and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the Polytechnic Institute of Braganza (Portugal). In 2013, she began her PhD in Pharmacy at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and was awarded a PhD scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT, Portugal; SFRH/BD/111753/2015). During this period, in addition to being part of the Department of Nutrition and Food Science (UCM), she was a member of the Cancer Drug Resistance group at IPATIMUP/i3S (Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology of the University of Porto / Research and Innovation Institute of the University of Porto). The work she carried out allowed her to expand her knowledge in the area of functional foods and nutraceuticals, as the objective was the chemical and bioactive characterization of natural products, primarily edible mushrooms, to verify their biological potential.
