Pilar SalasPilar Salas Pilar Salas has been the editor of the gastronomic magazine 7Caníbales since June 2023. She previously worked for 25 years at the EFE news agency. She has also worked for other media outlets such as Radio Nacional de España and, during a professional period in Mexico, she worked for Televisa and was a Latin American correspondent for the Spanish newspaper El Confidencial. She has received numerous awards for her work in support of gastronomy, including the Enrique Mapelli Award for Best Gastronomic Journalist in 2019, awarded by the Gastronomic Academy of Málaga, the oldest in Spain. The 2021 Excelencias Gourmet Awards for Best Journalist are also presented. The Picudo Award is awarded by the Priego de Córdoba Designation of Origin. The Acyre Award is also a finalist for two years in the National Academy of Gastronomy's Awards for Best News Reporting.
