Chef Antonio Loureiro
Originally from Guimarâes, Antonio works in a "kitchen of happiness." For years, he traveled through the kitchens of Portugal, from north to south, to learn about the produce and the ways of cooking and thinking. Driven by his desire to learn, he also worked in internationally renowned kitchens. In 2014, he was awarded the "Chef Cook of the Year" award. Antonio has served on the jury of major international gastronomic competitions and is a leading figure in healthy and sustainable eating, sponsoring various initiatives. He is committed to environmental sustainability causes and has participated in numerous awareness-raising events. He is a pioneer of a near-zero waste policy, has received the international Green Key award, and is a founding member of the Oporto Protocol, a platform that combats the effects of climate change.
