Chef David López Carreño
David López is one of the most influential chefs in the Region of Murcia and is consolidating his presence on the national culinary scene with his restaurant, Local de Ensayo.
A methodical chef with a passion for the ongoing study of gastronomy, he has been a cooking professor for over eight years at the Murcia Region Tourism Institute and in the Gastronomy Degree program at UCAM (Catholic University of Murcia).
His cuisine reflects a deep respect for the environment and the seasonality of his produce. His dishes evoke flavors from his childhood in La Mancha: hints of smoke, rosemary, mushrooms, game, gazpachos, and traditional stews reminiscent of family meals at his grandmother's house.
He has spoken at prestigious conferences such as Madrid Fusión (in the Saborea España section), GastroTEA, and Murcia Gastronómica, among others. He also regularly collaborates with magazines and platforms such as Gastrónomo Murcia, Cielo Mar y Tierra, and Gastroactitud.
